About Me
I am a masters student specializing in the conservation of historic wall paintings.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Ancient History and Archaeology from the University of Leicester. This educational background has provided me with a solid foundation in understanding the significance of cultural heritage and the intricate processes taken to preserve it.
After completing my degree, I worked as an archaeologist for two years, where I gained valuable hands-on experience in the field and in post-excavation. This experience motivated me to explore the world of conservation and contribute to the preservation of our cultural heritage.
Currently in my second year at The Courtauld Institute of Art, I am refining my skills and expanding my knowledge under esteemed experts. Combining scientific methodologies with practical skills, I approach each project with meticulous attention to detail. I am excited by the prospect of being a part of the paintings I work on, safeguarding them for future generations to enjoy.
With a professional and dedicated approach, I am committed to making a lasting impact in the field of wall painting conservation.

Longthorpe Tower, Peterborough 2023
The work undertaken in Longthorpe Tower in 2023 is a continuation of a multi-year project to conserve the rare medieval wall paintings. This conservation work is performed as a part of the MA Conservation of Wall Paintings offered by The Courtauld Institute of Art and is done in collaboration with English Heritage.
I was assigned a small area to conserve in its entirety. This involved thorough documentation, cleaning, consolidation and the replacement of historic repairs.

Past Project:
Villa Imperiale, Pesaro, Italy 2023
The Villa Imperiale in Pesaro, Italy, is a significant Renaissance villa that houses eight 16th century painted rooms. In 2023, students from the Courtauld Institute of Art (London) and Scuola Universitaria Professionale della Svissera italiana (SUPSI, Switzerland) worked together to carry out condition assessments, documentation and treatment plans within two of these rooms. This work is part of a larger plan of conservation and will inform treatment for subsequent years.
My work was focused on the Sala della Calunnia, working to reduce a previously applied coating, re-adhere flaking paint and consolidate the paint layer.
